For so long I have been looking for information on the Wolfhounds.
Even thoughit has been over 30 years my heart is still with each and every
soldier I served with. I worked in the Communication Platoon during my
year there. Lt Wooten was the Sig Off at that time. To say thank you would
be a waste of words for what I feel for your site. My gratude and deepest
feeling will always be for you for creating this site. God Bless you for
it. I remember my closest friend when I was t ere FRANK DODSON who served
in the Radar Plt. If you ever hear of him or if anyone has info on him
P L E A S E let me know. I'm a retired SGM now with 30 years service. Even
though I enjoyed the career no unit has ever ment so much to me as the

I said in an earlier visit I could come up with some names of those
who died during my tour, these are mostly from my platoon, I didn't venture
far from it. Henry Johnson, Charles Mondyke, Lloyd Pinkerton, Raymond Fritz,
and William Horvath. This is only a partial list covering our platoon in
the first 5 or 6 months. If you would like the names of some of the wounded
I can supply some of those too. There w re many more guys in the company,
but unfortunately I didn't know them as well, and couldn't make a notation
in my year books when I got them several years later. If I find my other
book I'll be able to supply more names. In the mean time I'll keep chec
ing your great site for updated info. Thanks

but for another time. I hope to hear from some of these computer illiterate's

(nickname Dubby -- not sure if he used this name while serving in Vietnam.
He was wounded a couple of times, once in the leg, and once in the eye.
James now manages a food & drink esta lishment in Richmond, Kentucky.
I am sure if anyone remembers him that he would not mind if they contacted
him -- James Bullock 101 Spurlin Court Richmond, KY 40475 He is a man of
small stature, but a good-natured guy. He has been dating and living with
my mother since the early eighties. My name is Rob Hammons and I am a four
- year veteran of the US Army Airborne Infantry. James Bullock told me
he served with C Co. until he got wounded, afterwhich I think he went to
HHC - -2nd Bat. 27 Infantry. He had a rough time after the war, but seems
to be doing ok now. If you ever get to Kentucky visit him in Richmond,

Was online doing ambushes every night out of Fire Support Base Chamberlain.
Spent time on the Vam Co Dong around the Sugar Mill, went to Cambodia to
find weapons supplies and see the sites, found out why I didn't like camping,
learned why mosquitoes will someday rule the world. Didn't get back in
camp too often and when I did, I couldn't wait to get back out in the field.
(Sorry you lifers, couldn't put up with all the idiots that wanted me to

I do need a favor during my time as company commander of B 1/27 I had
1 man KIA in all my time in field. I can not remember his name. His nickname
was hillbilly. He was in a night ambush position and rolled over on a booby
trap. we were operating out of F B Chamberlin or Fleek and it was near
the Vam Co dong river. Lt. DeAndrea was in command of the platoon. this
would have ocourred probably between Sept thru Nov 1969 Would like to get
his name so I can visit it at the wall. I have worked the KIA locators but no bell has gone off. Next step is to read the
Battalion reports from Sept thru Dec 1969 in the national archives on my next free day in DC and
sse if I get a clue. But maybe somebody out there in cyberland could also
help? Hank Bergson hank@nemra.org

I think you've got a great web site here, and I'm sure I can supply
you with some names and units. When I got back I took advantage of an offer
for a year book for the 25th Inf. Div.. The books ran from mid year to
mid year so I got 66-67 and 67-68. Th re was alot of info. in both of them.
Unfortunately I lent out my 67-68 and have'nt seen it since and I can't
remember who I gave it to. I will go through the one I have and see what
I can come up with for you. I guess I better go for now. And I hope I'l
be able to help out. Thanks
